Receiving the CCOF Future Organic Farmer Scholarship was truly an honor and blessing. When I first started school at UGA, I had no idea what I wanted to study or what career path I might want to take. As a sophomore,I began the Certificate Program in Organic Agriculture. This program eventually led me to declare a major in Horticulture alongside Business Management. Taking 19-20 hours a semester is extremely demanding and time consuming, but I know that it is worth it in order to pursue my passions. Featured StudentBecause I am required to take a greater number of hours in order to graduate, tuition definitely adds. I am blessed with two parents who support me emotionally and financially and I am so happy that I can lift some of the financial burden from them. Receiving this scholarship has truly been validation that this is what I am supposed to be doing and I cannot wait to see where my passions will take me.
